Regular Cleaning

Wipe the surface

Mix warm water and mild dish soap in a small bowl. Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the solution and wipe down your quartz countertop gently but firmly. You can wipe the surface as often as you need until you are sure that the loose dirt is completely removed.

Remove the hard stain

Once you have wiped down the loose dirt, it’s time to scrape off the ones which are more difficult to remove like the build-up grease or food remains. You can use a putty knife to scrape off the gunk but always do it gently since you may damage the surface of the countertops.

For future use, you can keep a putty knife inside the drawer of your cabinet. Once you spot dried gunk, remove it immediately before it gets built up which makes it even harder to scrape off.

Wipe off the remaining dirt

After removing the hard stain, it’s time to do the last step which is to wipe off the remaining dirt. In this step. you’re gonna need to use a degreasing agent which is specifically made for quartz countertops or disinfectant wgich doesn’t contain bleach.

Spray the cleaning agent onto the surface of your quartz countertop then wipe it down by using a clean cloth or sponge. Make sure that you rinse the solution properly.

Cleaning Tough Stains

If the steps above are suitable for the loose dirt and dried gunks, the steps below are best to apply when you find some tough stains on your quartz countertops. The supplies that will be used are a bit different but still easily available.

Apply cleaning agent

The first step is to apply the cleaning solution onto your quartz countertop. You need to use adhesive remover like Goo Gone for this tutorial.

Follow the instructions on the label, usually, you will need to pour the cleaning solution onto the countertop and let it sit for around 5 to 10 minutes. Then, you need to wipe it down by using a clean wet rug or cloth.

Rub with alcohol

The remaining stain on your countertop can be removed by using isopropyl rubbing alcohol. You just simply need to rub the stains by using the alcohol and rinsing it. Only apply this step if you still spot some stains after you apply the adhesive remover.
