Vacuum the webs

The first step that you have to do is to remove their home. You may find those spider webs in some corners of your homes in various sizes.

Vacuum the entire walls from top to bottom to completely remove the webs. If there are some crevices all over the walls, make sure that you also vacuum them since spiders usually lay their eggs there. Quickly dispose of the vacuum bag once you are sure that visible webs and spiders are removed.

Make them hate your house

The next step is how to prevent new spiders from coming. Just like most bugs, spiders can get attracted by the lights, so you can start by switching off the lights in your indoor and exterior area when it’s not used.

Clean up the unnecessary things around your house like scattered leaves and stacked firewood. Spiders can build their home there since warmth and shelter can attract them to keep coming.

Use non-toxic pesticide

To completely eradicate the spiders inside your house, use nontoxic pesticides which are made of natural materials. They are good to be used even around your interior area, so you won’t have to worry that they may harm your kids or pets.

Depending on how severe the spider invasion is around your house, you may need to apply the pesticide more than once. Always follow the instructions on the label to properly use it.

Apply homemade repellent

Once the pesticide has done its job, you can make your very own repellent by using easily-available supplies. You just need to prepare two cups of water, a few drops of essential oils (peppermint, citrus, or lavender), and a drop of mild dish soap then mix them in a spray bottle.

Spray the areas where you often find the spider webs like the corners of the room, ventilation, and window frames. Since it’s a safe repellent, you can regularly use it to prevent the spiders from keep coming.

Seal possible openings

Spiders may sneak into your house through the small halls that may be found between the walls and windows or doors. Make sure that you seal all of the unnecessary holes that are found around your house so they won’t be able to sneak in.
