How to Clean Wicker Furniture
Vacuum the loose dirt
The first step that we have to do is to vacuum the wicker which is meant to remove the loose dirt inside and out. Use a vacuum with an attached bristle brush thoroughly until you are sure that the dust and particles are removed.
If your wicker furniture is painted, be careful in using the brush so you won’t scrape off the varnish on the surface.
Brush the spots
Grab your toothbrush to remove the spots on the surface of the wicker furniture. If your wicker furniture has smaller gaps, you might want to use a toothbrush with a smaller head so you can reach through the spaces. Except for paper wicker, you might want to soak the toothbrush into the water for easier cleaning.

- Reed wicker – Soak a clean cloth slightly into the mixture of light detergent and water then wipe the surface of the furniture. Be careful if the wicker is painted since it may damage the paint. Rinse the furniture thoroughly.
Dry it up
Once you are sure that your wicker furniture is clean enough, you need to dry them as soon as possible. You can’t let wicker furniture in wet condition since it can let the mold and mildew growth.
If the weather is good enough, you can air dry them, but it would be best to use a hairdryer or fan for a faster process.
