Know Your Dogs
Healthy dogs can go without urinating for about 6 to 8 hours on average, however, it depends on their age, size, breed, diet, and health problems. Usually, puppies will pee more often than adult dogs due to their smaller bladder size, and basically, they can hold their bladder for an hour for every month of their age. So, if you’re planning to do a long-haul trip with puppies, you have to take into account this point.
Meanwhile, if your dog is around 7 to 12 years old, they can hold their bladder for 4 to 6 hours as they are classified as senior dogs. For senior dogs aged 12 and above, they will only be able to hold their bladder for 2 to 4 hours. However, health issues and anxiety can also be factors that can increase the frequency of peeing.

Choose the Best Seat

- If for some reason you can’t bring your dog to the bathroom, you can try placing potty training pads on their carriers or crates. So when your dogs need to pee, it won’t be spilling into the plane’s carpet and leave a smelly trace.
